The production and consumption of organic products in Spain continue to grow steadily, according to the 2025 Annual Report on Organic Production and Consumption, prepared by Ecovalia and published by CAAE. This progress strengthens Spain’s position as a European leader both in cultivated organic land and in its commitment to more sustainable agricultural models.

- Spain remains the European Union country with the largest area dedicated to organic production.
- 75% of this land is concentrated in Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, and Catalonia.
- The crops with the largest organic cultivation areas are nuts, olives, and cereals.
- Organic livestock farming grew by 18% over the past year.
- Organic exports increased by 105%, reinforcing Spain’s role in international markets.
- Spanish consumer spending on organic products reached €3 billion in 2024.
- The average spending per person was €66 per year.
- Prices of organic products rose by 2.8%, compared to 3.2% for conventional products.
